Depending on one’s perspective, men are providers, a new breed of fathers, underachievers, service providers, alpha males, or wimps. They should be faithful to their wives, be breadwinners and providers, take care of their children, foster their feminine side, and not mutate into pansies. They should lead without dominating, support their partners, and be sexy without all the macho trappings ... Are men undergoing an identity crisis? What does it mean to be a man these days? Who shapes the demands upon men and their images? And how do men not get lost in that maze of role expectations?
